The purpose of this Journal -
I decided to start this journal for a few specific reasons. The first and most significant of these was my underlying belief that if i wanted to better achieve my desires I was going to have to remember the important things that had occured to me, had happened. Or that I had merely realised at some point during my day. I have always believed that having the time and opportunity to reflect, navel gaze or merely express a view or feeling is important, and for a number of reasons. I guess I had gotten to the point in life where I was getting tired of my lack of direction and inability to prioritise and recognise what my current focuses should be. In essence I was becoming annoyed that every time I realised something significant, or recognised something important - such as an opinion I agreed with, or a decision about something. I would merely continue on and forget this information without being able to consciously remember it or let my future actions stem from that new view or belief. Really, just a belief that If you dont make some conscious effort to make these things stick in your mind you lose it, you forget it and in essence it becomes a wasted thought. I have always believed that taking time out to reflect on what is important for you at a particular time is incredibly beneficial - all the more so if you can remember it. Aside from that it forces you to think through things properly so you can rationally think through your view.
Thus, this diary is intended mainly as a reference for myself so that i can look back at what I have been doing better and critically reflect upon those things I deemed important at the time. I chose to do this in the format of an online journal as it means I can access it anywhere, and am not limited to space should I feel the need to be long winded.
At this point I feel I should say some things about myself and "where I am" currently -
I am a 22 year old male, currently studying on my final year of University at a college in the UK.
I would be classed as white, and grew up in the interesting climes of Northern Ireland - currently living in England
I am single at the moment after a few non-typical relationships (which i would class as mid to longish term), and am not currently looking to meet anyone.
I am the youngest child of quite a large family and my parents are my real mother and a step-father whom I have known from around the age of 8 when they married. Both my mother and my step-father are former widdowers. With my step father having two children from his previous relationship. Both being a few years older than myself. I am the youngest of my mothers 6 chidren - with my oldest sibling being 35.
Though this journal is primarily for my self, any constructive criticisims or comments are welcome.
